La Vie En Rose

googlehttps://plus.google.com/u/0/114005940946674524673 twitter instagram

On the 6th of May, 2015, Yuma, Papa and I went to Nagoya in order for us to meet our cousins and ojisan (uncle). It had been 10 years since we haven't seen each other. I honestly couldn't hide my excitement that time. Most especially, my cousin gave birth to her first child, Yui!

From Ehimeken, we had to ride a train (which is designed in Anpanman's characters) to go in Matsuyama Station. This is because Matsuyama is the prefectural capital of Ehime. In fact, this is where you can find the JR Shikoku railway station on Yosan Line.

Off to ride the Nozomi Shinkansen which is known to be the fastest train. This shinkansen only runs on the major stations such as Shin-Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya,Tokyo and the like.

Before arriving upon every station, there will be a recorded voice that will announce its destination both in English and Japanese.

There are 2 steps when buying a ticket. First, you have to insert money on the touch screen machine. Second, choose the station you're going to. However, the words are not written in Romaji. Only Kanji is available. If you're a tourist, you can always ask for any employees working there to guide you or to anyone who is willing to help.

The moment that we arrived to Nagoya, Yui chan greeted us! She's sooo cute!

After our late lunch, Yuma and Hiroki nichan went straight to play nostalgic games.

Before we doze off to sleep, we took pictures together in our comfy sleeping wear. Yuma and I missed the peace sign. ;)

Can I just say that we always have the best breakfast ever? Our ojisan (uncle) surely knows how to impress us with his cooking skills. He, in fact, made the strawberry jam himself for the first time and it absolutely tasted good! It felt like he had made them before! He also has variety of vegetables, herbs and fruits on his garden. Surely, Japanese people are fond of planting crops. 'Cause it's so much convenient and tasty!

After our breakfast, we went outside to stroll. Do you see this lake? It may not look beautiful at this time. However, according to ojisan, this lake is going to be filled with loads of lilies and lotus flowers which is said to be blooming on my birth month,  August!

I can already imagine this lake being filled with myriad of lotus flower! <3

                                                                          At the garden of Ojisan!

We arrived at Kariya Highway Oasis before going back to Shikoku.

Can you believe that the Kariya Highway Oasis is famous because of its elegant deluxe toilet? Yes, that's a toilet room that you see. It's actually a must-see toilet in Japan. (I just sounded weird there)

View from the window of Ferris wheel.

Bowl of happiness :)

We met with the sister of ojiichan (grandpa). She was so happy to have met us!

We didn't do much in Nagoya since our main objective was to see our love ones. It was just a short time but we indeed, had a blast meeting them!

Odaiji ni,
Au revoir!

At exactly 7:10 pm, Yuma and I arrived at Osaka Kansai Kokusai Airport.

(view from the 52nd floor of Star Gate Kansai Hotel)

Did you know that Osaka Kansai Airport or KIX is built in an artificial island? Can you imagine on how long they have deliberately planned this? Sure, there are risks but they cannot stand still and do nothing with the inconvenience that the passengers have experienced. This includes the limitations of air cargo to be exported in Tokyo rather than in Osaka. Moreover, the Osaka airport cannot be further expanded in space because of the increasing urban development in the city. The reason behind the construction of this airport is to lessen the crowding in Osaka-Itami Airport. Since this airport is made in an artificial island, aircraft noise is no longer a problem. Thus, they can operate even on late hours.

It was actually our first time to travel on our own. I admit that I panicked when we didn't saw our dad right away inside the airport. We were finding him for 10 minutes which explains my outbreak of fear. >.<

We, then, rode the car and prepared for 6 long hours of drive going to Ehimeken, Shikoku.

We had our first stop over and our first meal in somewhere restaurant. (I forgot the name. tsk. tsk.)

All you have to do is to insert your money on the machine and choose any meal that you want from the menu. No talking needed. How convenient isn't it? Then you just have to claim your order afterwards.

Day 1: Ehimeken

You can never come inside the house without even taking a picture of this beauty. My obaachan (grandma) carefully planted these flowers with love. That's why this deserves to be captured!

Since, I kept on bugging my dad to take us to udon ya-san, he finally agreed to have our first breakfast in Serufu Sanuki udon! Yum~

After we ate at udon ya-san, we went to docomo (which is much like Globe or Smart) to buy a phone. He wanted to throw away the flipping-open-and-close phone to buy an iPhone 6 plus. The price is reasonable for they are giving free services. However, it took us 1 hour just to buy 1 phone. The process took longer than I expected.

First #selfie on my papa's phone!

We jumped off the car to go in this beautiful sea of Ehimeken. (Which is only 8 minutes away from our home) Honestly speaking, nothing compares our majestic sea that we have back in the Philippines. But if you want to see a sea that is similar from what we have in PH, Okinawa is the option!

Stay tuned for the next post!

Hi there! The day has finally come for (drum roll)... March Favorites. Yay!

This concept came from YouTubers all over the world who share their favorites of the month. It includes their adored products to use (may it be makeup or stationary things), their favorite foods/drinks, their fresh pick movies, songs, apps and many more.

I realized that I cannot stay idle and lazy this summer so I thought of updating my blog frequently. Thus, you can expect for up-to-date posts every week.

P.S. Links will be put below just in case you want to purchase it.

Let's begin!

My top favorite bag (which also translates as my most used bag) is the elegant black messenger bag. I love the fact that this bag is sturdy and fashionable as it is. You can even throw in your simplest t-shirt, shorts and shoes that go along with this cutesy fetch bag. I'm sure that you'll slay it!

The bag on the right side is used for putting makeup products or any other sanitary items. This bag can fit big items since it can stretch in width that provides more space. Plus, the color is perfect and in for summer and spring that you can use on the go.

I found my one and only bae- my Maltesers! I honestly can eat it like chips. I even finished half of it. I tell you, that's how good it is. Hurry and buy now. And please bring me some as well.

Coffee you say? Yes please. I'm a coffee enthusiast. I love drinking coffee whether it is served hot or chilled. This iced mocha latte is what I drink early in the morning to give me boost.

I have been a huge fan of Queensland butter for 3 years. It's a good pair for toast bread! I also tried to use this butter in baking cupcakes. And it works better than the standard butter! The moment that my classmates had a bite of it, they just can't get enough. That's the power of Queensland butter.

This is a perfume given by my friend as a birthday present. Truly, you'll feel like you're lost in fantasy because of the sweet scent. I'm planning to use this often once I'll come back to my home town. Looking forward into it!

I have a massive love for Cetaphil and Physiogel <3  For the past years, my skin felt very dry and scaly. I keep on scratching and scratching endlessly. As a result, my skin got so much irritated that its condition became worse.Trust me, I wanted to cover my face whenever I come out. I also tried to use different products but it didn't work. Then I got a chance to use Cetaphil and Physiogel. Unexpectedly, it worked like a fairy's magic!

Once in a while, I tend to use face masks and pore strips. There's a case on where my friend applied a face mask; as a result her skin got allergic to it. The secret in finding the best products for your skin is to try and try. But of course, you have to be careful by reading tons of review before purchasing the product itself. Good luck on finding one! :)

Meet Cassey Ho a.k.a. the most awesome fitness instructor who created Pop Pilates. I exercise at least thrice a week. You know, it's summer, where people munch and gnaw foods (++ calories) equal to layers of flabby fats. That's why I often exercise.

Stay tuned for more up-to-date posts!
