Japan 2015: Nagoya

by - 2:36 AM

On the 6th of May, 2015, Yuma, Papa and I went to Nagoya in order for us to meet our cousins and ojisan (uncle). It had been 10 years since we haven't seen each other. I honestly couldn't hide my excitement that time. Most especially, my cousin gave birth to her first child, Yui!

From Ehimeken, we had to ride a train (which is designed in Anpanman's characters) to go in Matsuyama Station. This is because Matsuyama is the prefectural capital of Ehime. In fact, this is where you can find the JR Shikoku railway station on Yosan Line.

Off to ride the Nozomi Shinkansen which is known to be the fastest train. This shinkansen only runs on the major stations such as Shin-Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya,Tokyo and the like.

Before arriving upon every station, there will be a recorded voice that will announce its destination both in English and Japanese.

There are 2 steps when buying a ticket. First, you have to insert money on the touch screen machine. Second, choose the station you're going to. However, the words are not written in Romaji. Only Kanji is available. If you're a tourist, you can always ask for any employees working there to guide you or to anyone who is willing to help.

The moment that we arrived to Nagoya, Yui chan greeted us! She's sooo cute!

After our late lunch, Yuma and Hiroki nichan went straight to play nostalgic games.

Before we doze off to sleep, we took pictures together in our comfy sleeping wear. Yuma and I missed the peace sign. ;)

Can I just say that we always have the best breakfast ever? Our ojisan (uncle) surely knows how to impress us with his cooking skills. He, in fact, made the strawberry jam himself for the first time and it absolutely tasted good! It felt like he had made them before! He also has variety of vegetables, herbs and fruits on his garden. Surely, Japanese people are fond of planting crops. 'Cause it's so much convenient and tasty!

After our breakfast, we went outside to stroll. Do you see this lake? It may not look beautiful at this time. However, according to ojisan, this lake is going to be filled with loads of lilies and lotus flowers which is said to be blooming on my birth month,  August!

I can already imagine this lake being filled with myriad of lotus flower! <3

                                                                          At the garden of Ojisan!

We arrived at Kariya Highway Oasis before going back to Shikoku.

Can you believe that the Kariya Highway Oasis is famous because of its elegant deluxe toilet? Yes, that's a toilet room that you see. It's actually a must-see toilet in Japan. (I just sounded weird there)

View from the window of Ferris wheel.

Bowl of happiness :)

We met with the sister of ojiichan (grandpa). She was so happy to have met us!

We didn't do much in Nagoya since our main objective was to see our love ones. It was just a short time but we indeed, had a blast meeting them!

Odaiji ni,
Au revoir!
