China 2015: Backpack
We were lucky enough to have been chosen as one of the delegates of Chinese Bridge Autumn Camp representing our school, AUF-IS. I was really looking forward to this trip especially because it's my first time travelling outside the country with my friends around. Let's see on what Fujian got for us!
Meet the squad, Team North Korea! ;)
By this time, we finally arrived at Xiamen Airport!
FJ and Yuma were kind enough to carry the girls' backpack. How sweet of them!
From the airport, we straightly went to eat dinner in the restaurant and ate authentic Chinese Food. For some reason, the drinks that they prepared for us has always been sodas. Most commonly Coke if not it'll be Sprite or even Royal. However, if they do serve water, it will always be a hot water. This is because cold liquids do not solidify fats. But I believe that this has something to do with their tradition more than scientific reasons on why they are serving hot water instead of cold water. Some restaurants do serve cold water when they immediately see foreigners dining in that place. Fun fact: Chinese People are also curious on why foreigners love to drink iced drinks. Well, it goes the same for us to them. They do also serve meals in small sized plates and glasses. Furthermore, Chinese people tend to speak less when they eat. Due to the fact that a good meal is said to be too special to be indulged by conversation. In addition, dinner is the time where all of us tried to initiate conversation. It was awkward at first but everything went smoothly after then. Following our dinner, we went to Seashine hotel and rest.

DAY 3: Hiking at Wuyi Mountain
We are finally in Day 3! Yay! Honestly, Ryzen and I almost did not make it on time. We literally prepared for 10 minutes before arriving to Wuyi Mountain. Thank goodness, our friends decided to go to our room and check if we're ready.
Fresh morning faces oh no
Wuyi Mountain is located in Nanping, Fujian, China. It has the biggest unscathed forest that is surrounded by the variety of the Chinese Subtropical Forest and the South Chinese Rainforest.
Here's our pictures rafting! :)
Here's our pictures rafting! :)
The water is so clear to the point that you can see these numerous fishes.
There is something with this mini cave that is very inviting. It's kind of creepy though.
From below the mountain, you can precisely see countless of people hiking just to get to see the majestic view that Wuyishan offers.
The ngiti of success getting through halfway of the mountain. The broiling sun did not stop us to continue hiking. Off we go taking thousand steps.
At the end, we decided not to go to the peak of the mountain although most of the other delegates did. All the steep climbs was worth it. Climbing up to the peak of the mountain did not take us very long. It served as a good exercise for us in the morning. It was a nice escape from the crowded city.We also heard so many people shouting from the mountain tops. I especially enjoyed the magnificent views with my friends. It's a perfect place to spent time with yourself or even a place for hugot sesh with the barkada. If you plan to go here, make sure to wear "comfortable shoes" if you know what I mean. ;)
Odaiji ni,
Au revoir!
