Fuzhou National Forest Park

Hello from the beautiful city of Fuzhou!

This day marks the beginning of cold weather = bed day. We were all complaining on how hot it has been in Fuzhou from the point that we arrived here. Now that the temperature dropped down to 18 degrees Celsius, we can't help to complain on how crazy cold it is. That's when our tropical girl within comes out. But really, we prefer having cold weather than feeling the scorching heat of the sun.

Fuzhou National Forest Park is where the 1000 year old Banyan Tree is found. It's few minutes away from the main city. This place is highly recommended if you want to get a fresh air. There are also rides found in this place where kids can enjoy with their loved ones!

Panda World

Almost all our friends are telling us to get pandas as our pasalubong for them. Yes, we finally arrived in Panda World!

We have also spotted a red panda! How cute!

But nothing can be cuter than this! ;) They say that if a child understands your Mandarin, you're off to a good start on learning the language. It’s time to show off our skills.

Couple of us splurged Panda Souvenirs. It's really tempting for us girls to buy them. They were pretty expensive but totally worth it if you're a panda lover.

A panda is said to be a national treasure of China. There used to be thousands of pandas living in the forests of China. However, they are now endangered. Hunting is one of the threats; forest destruction also disables the pandas to survive. Before it's too late, let us help protect Pandas by supporting or donating to an organization such as the WWF. After all, we are the only ones who are capable of saving them.

3 Lanes 7 Alleys

Three Lanes and Seven Alleys is found in Sanfang-Qixiang. It was primarily developed in the late Western Jin Dynasty and in the Song Dynasty. Instead of finding skyscrapers in the heart of downtown Fuzhou, you will see a vast area of residential buildings which is said to be rare. It is used to be a residential area of numerous scholar-bureaucrats and of upper classes or the wealthy gentry.

You can find many souvenir shops all lined up in this area. Most of them are quite pricey but you can find a good deal of prices on some stores. It just takes patience in finding one.

Welcome to my ideal kind of Cafe. It's a place where you can dine in and choose a card of your own to write a letter. It's your option on whether you just want to eat something here or drop by and select a card and let the staff send the letter to whomever you're sending to.

Also, this cutie will greet you in the counter. Make sure to drop by once you're here in 3 Lanes and 7 Alleys. 'Till the next blog post!

Odaiji ni,
Au revoir!
